André Bauer made history in November of 2002 when, at 33 years old, he was elected South Carolina’s 87th Lieutenant Governor and became the youngest Lieutenant Governor in America. He served two terms as South Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor. As Lieutenant Governor he had the legislature transfer the Bureau of Senior Services from the Department of Health & Human Services to the Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging (LGOA).
Earning his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 1991 from the University of South Carolina, where he served in numerous capacities. He was recognized as Alumnus of the year in 2001. Throughout his professional career he has taken a keen interest in issues affecting Senior Citizens and has spoken extensively on the subject.
His impressive list of accomplishments in addition to serving as a CNN Correspondent and Donald Trump Surrogate in the 2016 election cycle, André is considered to be a rising star within the Republican Party and a leading voice for change in the American Political System. That coupled with his uncommon ability to reach across the aisle and get things done has led to numerous accolades throughout the years.
